Founded in 2024, Happily Ever After Hounds was created on the Central Coast from a passion for saving beautiful greyhounds from the racing industry and giving them the second chance they deserve. What began as a one-man show has grown into a heartfelt mission—helping greyhounds leave behind their racing days and discover what it means to be a cherished family pet.

Every hound that comes through our care is treated with patience, compassion, and love. These gentle dogs often experience many “firsts” as they transition to pet life—soft beds, toys, stairs, car rides, even learning how to simply relax. We guide them through this journey at their own pace, helping them gain confidence and discover the joy of being part of a home.

While greyhounds are at the heart of what we do, we also rescue and rehome other breeds whenever we can. Every dog deserves the chance to live the life they were meant to—safe, loved, and part of a family.

Beyond rehoming, we’re passionate about raising awareness and showing just how wonderful greyhounds (and all rescue dogs) are as companions. Once rarely seen outside the track, greyhounds are now becoming familiar family dogs—calm, affectionate, and loyal.

As a small rescue, we rely on the kindness of our community, fundraising, and donations to continue this life-changing work. Every adoption, every foster, every share helps us write a new chapter for these incredible dogs—one filled with love, comfort, and their own happily ever after.
